The VMT9000 series with Android operating system are ‘Android Enterprise’ certified and can be fully managed via the MDM solution SOTI MobiControl, which enables optimised control and monitoring of the devices. SOTI MobiControl offers productivity tools and remote support functions that minimise employee downtime and allow employees to concentrate fully on their tasks. SOTI MobiControl management also works on Windows-based devices.

VMT9000 series now equipped with Android
In addition to the operating systems Windows® 11 IoT Enterprise 2021, IGEL OS 11 for Cloud Workspaces and Linux Ubuntu, the VMT9000 series can now as well be equipped with the latest Android™ 13. The Android operating system developed for the VMT9000 includes industrial features such as a built-in kiosk mode, which helps to limit the functionality of the VMT9000 to a single app or to multiple apps, additionally fixed IP addresses can be assigned besides DHCP. As well it is possible to set up your own app store using F-Droid and manage the app selection.
Updates to Android 14 and 15 are already planned for the VMT9000. The VMT will thus be supplied with security updates for at least 7 years.
For all types of rugged conditions
Entirely solid: these state-of-the-art, fifth-generation terminals always do their job, even in the toughest logistics scenarios or on agricultural and construction machinery. The VMT9000 series is shock- and vibration-resistant against strong jets of water in accordance with 5M3 and IP66 ratings. Seamlessly sealed, these units are particularly easy to clean and well protected by a die-cast aluminium housing.
Always well connected
The modules for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE as well as the option to connect an external antenna for conditions where transmission and reception are challenging guarantee smooth communication at all times. For user logins, the unit can be optionally equipped with an RFID reader with 13.56 MHz.
Unlimited vision
The fanless, vehicle-mounted terminals are available in three sizes: 10.4, 12.1 and 15.0 inches. Their incredibly slim design means they can fit in perfectly everywhere – whether in a vehicle, a picking cart or on a production line. Apart from their compact design, the terminals have a number of other advantages: the display is sunlight-readable and can therefore also be used outdoors in direct sunlight. It can even be operated when wearing gloves and responds to both resistive and capacitive touch – superb technology 100% made in Germany.
Not at all complicated
With the VMT9000 series we have designed everything down to the smallest detail. Practical accessories such as stainless steel brackets for vehicles, forklifts, machinery and all kinds of equipment are easy to install and ensure a tight fit. The brackets can be conveniently adjusted to suit the user via a Nord-Lock screw connection that secures the terminal, even when exposed to all kinds of vibrations and shocks.
Interference-free data transmission in the open air
Densely packed masses of paper at one of the largest production sites in Europe. And our VMT9112 units with integrated LTE modules are right in the middle of it all, ensuring reliable data transmission for an entire fleet of forklifts across the entire indoor and outdoor area at the Varel paper and cardboard factory in Lower Saxony. So reliable, in fact, that the number of units deployed has meanwhile been doubled.
Testing stations with operating units for visualising real-time process data
Where pressing machines vibrate and oil and dust are everywhere, terminals of outstanding quality are called for. In the screw production of EJOT GmbH & Co. KG in Bad Berleburg, our VMT9000 series units with their resilient, IP66-rating protected housings are able to withstand extreme conditions and reliably deliver a convincing performance.
