With a clear strategy and tailor-made concepts, ADS-TEC will be taking part for the third time at the leading conference for the maritime industry in Hamburg's Hyperion Hotel. In the lecture "Improving economic efficiency through a scalable IoT infrastructure" it becomes clear which added values can be generated from the ADS-TEC solution. The relevant software and hardware products will be presented live in the parallel exhibition.

As a pioneer in the IoT sector, ADS-TEC realised early the potential of the maritime economy and its digital transformation. The conference offers a good platform to discuss the opportunities and challenges in the increasingly digitally networked world of work together with experts and decision-makers from shipyards, suppliers and shipping companies. ADS-TEC offers here decisive added value with its modular solutions from a single source, consisting of an IoT service platform, operating devices and operating software as well as its firewalls specially certified for the maritime industry.

With the ADS-TEC firewalls and routers of the IRF2000 series, a company can communicate targeted, control communication channels and securely prevent unwanted contacts - within the company and during remote access via the Internet. The use of Krypto Smartcard Security with hardware certificates and sophisticated assignment of rights ensures maximum network protection even in complex systems distributed over land and water. ADS-TEC is one of few companies worldwide to offer industrial firewalls with a DNV GL certificate. This makes it suitable for secure networking of all maritime plants and systems: in national and international shipping traffic, shipbuilding, in marine structures and offshore wind turbines. The maritime series is not only certified for general use on ships, but has also been successfully tested according to IEC 60945. This makes it suitable for sensitive bridge applications. The firewalls are always developed according to the latest safety standards and specifications, which makes them particularly future-proof.Two variants based on the IRF2220 (with LTE) and IRF2200 (without LTE) are available. In addition to the ship's GPS, communication can also take place near the country via the more cost-effective mobile radio network.Together with other IoT components such as the cloud-based service platform Big-LinX developed by ADS-TEC and the remote operating software X-Remote, new possibilities are opening up for shipping, port facilities, shipyards, shipping companies and all suppliers to the shipping industry. In this way, an efficient and convenient IT structure can be set up for applications such as remote service, device management and predictive maintenance on all the world's oceans. With its open interface structure and numerous operating modes, Big-LinX is adaptable and can grow with the dynamic structure of the customer. Applications can be adapted to the market environment and easily integrated into existing IT systems. The visualization of data with customer-specific dashboards is also possible. The IRF2000 series is already used by numerous industrial customers and has been proven in various applications. The ADS-TEC solution has been used successfully for several years by various large equipment manufacturers and ship automation companies and sophisticated digitisation concepts have been implemented.

In addition to the technological solution, ADS-TEC offers many years of experience in the design and implementation of industrial 4.0 solutions. A competent technical consultant team supports the implementation and commissioning of the solution.
