Connected Service World

Connected Service World took place in Karlsruhe from 20–21 February under the banner "Digitalisation with Smart Connected Devices for Industry 4.0". Providers and users reported on and discussed their experiences with IoT solutions in a modern format. Furthermore, the event offered representatives from the mechanical engineering and IT services industries a forum in which they could exchange their experiences in projects as well as the latest innovations in achieving Industry 4.0 measures.

Sascha Leser from ADS-TEC presented the interplay between security solutions and the BigLinX IoT service platform at Connected Service World. An ADS-TEC customer from the mechanical engineering industry then reported on accessing IoT solutions with platforms. The speaker told of how a solution for minimising machine downtimes came about through a stand-alone remote maintenance solution using the ADS-TEC firewall and the BigLinX IoT service platform.
